| 抄録(和) | 高等学校の「地学IB」の領域である「地球の内部」では、地球内部の構造、物質やその状態を中心に学習する。地表部分の学習は標本などが手に入るので比較的学習は容易であるが、地球の内部に入ると学習は困難になる。地球内部から送られてくる情報の収集、検索、測定、結果の処理等の探求の方法を駆使することによって学習を展開することが期待されている。しかしながら実態を教え込み、そのことを記憶させる授業が多いのが現状である。ここでは、現実に起きた地震波の情報をコンピュータを使って解析して、地球内部、特に地殼の厚さ、マントル上部の物質とその状態を探る指導を支援するシステムを開発したので、そのシステムについて報告する。 |
| 抄録(英) | 'Science' in the curriculum of senior high schools contains Subject 'Earth Science IB', which has Field 'The Earth's Interior' in it. The study of this Field centers around the structure of the earth's interior, the substances in it and the conditions of the substances. It is comparatively easy for students to study the surface of the earth as they are able to obtain specimens. But the earth's interior is rather difficult for them to study. In case of the study of the earth's interior it is desirable to make full use of such research methods as collecting various pieces of information sent from the earth's interior, retrieving them, measuring them and treating the findings. In reality in lots of classes these research methods are not adopted, but already known facts are taught to students and students are obliged to memorize them. We have developed teaching methods to investigate the earth's interior, particularly the thickness of the earth crust, the substances in the upper part of the mantle and their conditions by analyzing the information of seismic waves which actually occurred, using computers. We report the results of our research and development as follows. |
