Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A positive example set is called a representative sample for a context-free grammar if all rules of the grammar are in use to generate it (Angluin 1980). We propose a polynomial time learning algorithm for simple deterministic languages with a representative sample and membership queries. In addition, if we apply this learning algorithm to regular languages, we can prove a polynomial time learnability of regular languages from membership queries and a live complete set which is a set of positive and negative examples whose conditions are weaker than that of a representative sample. This result for regular languages corresponds to Parekh et al.(1998)s' result.
