Abstract(in English) | This paper analyzes a new connection establishment scheme involving several competing network providers in a multimedia telecommunications environment. This connection establishment scheme enables mutual selection by users and network providers .By employing this scheme, both network providers and users can pursue their own objectives according to their own bidding and awarding policies. In this paper, an efficient bidding policy for network providers is proposed and analyzed by means of the Markov decision theory. Economical efficiency of the connection establishment scheme adopting this policy is evaluated using several numerical examples. By adopting this policy, network providers can maximize their revenue while the total user's consumer surplus is slightly reduced. |
