Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a novel method for Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) transmission system, which can keep the user objective performance even under very low SNR (signal to noise power ratio) and severe frequency selective fading conditions, at the cost of a reduction in information transmission speed. The salient feature of the proposed method, which we will call RDT-OFDM (Repetition of Data Transmission OFDM), is that it enables a flexible data rate transmission system by changing the number of repetition times for data transmission in accordance to the link conditions. Furthermore, the proposed method can be implemented on the basis of conventional OFDM modulator and demodulator. This paper presents the computer simulation results under the Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) and multi-path fading conditions to verify the performance of the proposed method.
