| Abstract(in English) | Inter-university network using VSAT based satellite communication system called SCS (Space Collaborarion System) has been introduced in oct. 1997. 139 VSATs have already distributed and put into practical use in the universities and colleges etc in almost around Japan. A transportable VSAT terminal for SCS will be useful now for extra events such as collaboration between classrooms in campus and outdoor or distant institutions any ware in Japan. This paper reports outline of the construction and functions, performance and experimental results of the transportable VSAT terminal for SCS. The transportable VSAT terminal developed here have been tested in the practical use to have the equivalent functions and performance with other VSATs. |
