Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In a nonblocking switching system, the performance is decreased if the incoming packets are destined for the same output. To overcome this problem, the incoming packets have to be scheduled to avoid conflict at the output port. The scheduler performs to select the appropriate inputs for traversing to the output port at a time slot. The latency of the waiting packet arises according to the incoming traffic and size of switch. In this paper, we present the efficiency of scheduling algorithm can be improved to obtain a high performance by dividing the input-output ports into a smaller group, the scheduler considers the request from input port in its group with first priority before considering the other groups, this will allow the scheduler can select the more appropriate input at a time slot. As a result, the waiting cell can be traversed to the desired output with a smaller number of time slots.
