Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The classifications rate by using pattern spectrum is generally depended on the structuring element of Mathematical Morphology. For the purpose of improving the calssifications rate, we already proposed the optimization method of designing a structuring element that widens distances between dictionary pattern spectra. However, there is a restriction of distance between dictionary pattern spectra that widened by a structuring element. In this paper, we propose a new method by using few structuring elements. We form a structuring element which is designed for dictionary into two groups. And previous process is repeated. We apply the method to texture classification and person identification by nose image, and we ascertain the effectiveness of our method.
