Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Active net is proposed as one method for a region detection and a shape extraction. It treats these processes as an energy optimaization problem which detects a target to minimize the active net's energy gradually by iterations. Hitherto, we have used the iteration's number for stopping the calculation operations. However it is difficult for the conventional method to detect the point of energy minimum accurately. We propose a new method by using the intensity difference between the target and the background, where the operation of the calculation may be stopped. The validity of our method is shown by the experimental results.
