Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Solar energy is the ideal form of the energy as a substitute for fossil fuels, because it is clean, inexhaustible, and available everywhere in the world. One of the prominent systems for utilizing the solar energy, is the electric power generation system by solar cells. However, at the present time the conversion efficiency is poor. Therefore, the improvements of material and structure of solar cells have been carried out so far. In this paper, from the view point of structure improvement, the light-energy distribution in the a-Si(amorphous silicon)solar-cell models is simulated by using FDTD(Finite Difference Time Domain) method. The dependence of the energy distribution on the surface profile of the solar cell is shown and the optimum profile is examined.
