FDTD Analysis of Light-Beam Scattering from a Magneto-Optical Disk Model

Abstract(in English) In the previous analyses of light scattering from a magneto-optical(MO) disk medium by the boundary-element method (BEM) and the finite-difference time domain (FDTD) method, scattered fields diverged under the assumption of opposite sign and real cross components in the permittivity tensor of the medium. In the present analysis, in order to avoid such divergence, we introduce opposite sign pure imaginary cross components of the tensor and analyze the light beam scattering from a MO disk model.
