Abstract(in English) | A 76GHz-band GaAs MMIC chip set for automotive radar systems has been developed. A one-body antenna / transceiver(A / T)unit has been fabricated by incorporating with microstrip planer antenna, and demonstrated the radar performance. The MMIC chip set with a total area of 10.68mm^2 consists of voltage-controlled oscillator, power amplifier and two receivers. The chip set has been embedded in a single-cavity module, and a 90dB isolation between Tx and Rx ports was realized by using of a newly developed filtering lid for the cavity. The A / T unit achieved a more than 120m maximum detection range and a 16 degrees azimuth angle coverage. |
