Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In conventional direct digital synthesizers(DDSs), tuning frequency steps are uniquely determined by clock frequencies and bit width of phase accumulators. We designed a new DDS with an extended phase accumulator whose operation cycle can be controlled. This DDS can provide low-spurious signals whose frequencies are given by arbitrary fractional expressions. Experimental results demonstrate successful frequency synthesizer operation in which the tuning frequency step is selected flexibly.
