Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We study the radiation pattern synthesis of dielectric rod waveguides with many radius variations on the surface. First, we present an approximate analysis method for radiation pattern from the dielectric rod waveguide. The fields at a radius variation section are expressed in the form of a 2-port circuit. The inside and the outside fields are influenced by proximity of the sections. We improve the 2-port circuit expression to obtain the precise radiation pattern in consideration of the interaction. The radiation pattern can be calculated in short time by using this method. We use the genetic algorithm(GA)used the improved method for the radiation pattern to seek the optimum positions of radius variation sections. We obtain the optimum position for the some required patterns.
