On the Recursive SPN Structure

Abstract(in English) This paper describes a new symmetric block cryptosystem, which has a recursive(nested)SPN structure, where 2-round SPN structures in the lower hierarchy are embedded into S-box positions in SPN of the upper hierarchy. Due to the recursive structure, it is easy to estimate the branch number, which is one of the most important security criteria for such block cryptosystems. Expected differential and linear characteristics are derived theoretically by using the branch number.
