Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is expected that the concept-base, which is one of the main elements of intelligent system, is automatically constructed. The concept-base constructed automatically, however, is inferior to that made by human in quality. Therefore, in this paper, a mechanical refinement method of concept-base is proposed. The method uses the degree of association between concepts and the generality of concepts which are derived only from the concept-base itself. It is shown that the probability which the attribute is a irrelevant one is high when the degree of association between concept and attribute is low or when the generality of attribute is high. However, the effect of the generality of attribute is relatively small. Finally, the refinement method using only the degree of association is proposed and it is shown that proposed method is effective by experimental results.
