Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Hard disk drives were developed as a recording media for computer data, they are also used for multimedia data such as video and audio. But there are some problems as a media used in broadcasting stations. We are developing a video hard-disk system that performs high-bitrate recording/playback with maintaining continuity of video signals. It is essential to model hard disks for developing video hard-disk system efficiently. In this paper, we propose a method of modeling hard disks, and we make a study of improving performances of hard disks by using this model.
