Multiple Maneuvering Target Tracking Using Multiple Model Filters

Abstract(in English) The track maintenance under the dense environment where multi-targets and clutter exist is an important subject. In addition to the subject, tracking maneuvering targets in three dimensions is known as a a highly difficult issue. IMM(Interacting Multiple Model)-JPDA and M^3(Multiple Maneuver Model)-JPDA are conceivable to resolve the subject. However, IMM-JPDA has the problem with respect to the calculation of validation gate. In this paper, we show the enhaced IMM-JPDA to resolve the problem of conventional IMM-JPDA. Through Monte Calro simulations of 50 runs, tracking performance of enhanced IMM-JPDA has examined with regard to track success rate and tracking accuracies compared with M^3(Multiple Maneuver Model)-JPDA.
