Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In MTI(moving target indicators), staggered PRF(pulse repetition frequency) is often used in order to narrow the region of blind frequency. One of the methods for suppressing bimodal clutter is the use of two filters with cascade connection, whose notch frequencies are center frequencies of static clutter (e.g.ground or sea clutter) and moving clutter (e.g.weather clutter), respectively. However, for staggered PRF, suppression of the bimodal clutter by the cascaded filters is not enough because waveform degradation may occur at the output of the first filter. To overcome this problem, in this report, we show that the suppression performance for the bimodal clutter can be improved using a single filter with two notch frequencies that are the same as the center frequencies of the bimodal clutter.
