Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper deals with the frequency domain processing on the radar signal to clutter ratio (SCR) improvement of the non-coherent type radar. The target has a lager autocorrelation coefficient compared with that of clutter. By using a proper type of filter, the clutter can be eliminated without deteriorating the target so much. The authors used the Daubechies type wavelet to perform this process on the data acquired with a small shipborne radar and ASDE (Airport Surface Detection Equipment). In order to show the improvement quantitatively, the signal area and the definition of the SCR are determined. The input SCR of less than 16dB showed 3~9dB improvement for all the target ranges, but the SCR larger than 16dB resulted sharp decreases in improvement, especially for a target at a long range. A modified filter is introduced to compensate the range difference, which proved to be effective for wide range of input SCR and for all target ranges.
