Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We implemented a path diversity receiver using constraint sample matrix inversion (SMI) arrays and maximum likelihood sequence estimation (MLSE), and evaluated its bit error rate (BER) performance in frequency-selective fading channels. The transmission rate is 4.096 Mb/s. IF/RF frequency is 245 MHz/3.35GHz respectively. The number of array antenna elements is four. We applied digital signal processing techniques to control the array weights. The results of laboratory experiment show that the proposed scheme obtains not only space diversity gains but also path diversity gains and significantly improves the BER performance compared with the SMI array.
