Error Control Scheme for Multicast Service using OFDM Sub-carrier Information

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a new error control scheme for multicast services applying OFDM space transmission diversity to the terminals that failed to receive data successfully and returned NACK signal. In multi-casting system where every terminal has different PER characteristics, it is also possible to improve the total PER performance of the system effectively by using OFDM transmission diversity technique focusing on the terminals receiving data erroneously. On our proposal, the number of terminals requesting retransmission dicreases with retransmission attempts, and deversity gain for the especially poor quality terminals increases automatically. We also evaluate the performance of the proposed scheme by computer simulations, and it has been verified that the proposed scheme improves PER and its throughput performance.
