Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Most of researches on ad-hoc wireless networks deal with the full self-organizing networks (FSONs). The FSONs are very excellent in flexibility and reliability. However, this network has two problems that 1) the complicated routing and 2) to take a long time to build up the network. We present the layered self-organizing networks (LSONs) as alternative ad-hoc wireless networks. The complex routing algorithm shouldn't be necessary in the LSONs. Then, this network can be built in a short time, and can flexibly cope with the movement of each MSs. The covering range of each MS is small enough in comparison with a sub service area. Therefore, channels can be reused in the sub service area. The reuse of channels contribute to increase the capacity of the networks. we propose three channel assignment protocols.
