Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Frequency offset compensation methods using the phase difference between pilot symbols have been studied in pilot symbol assisted modulation systems. When these methods are used under Rician fading environments with a direct component shifted by Doppler effect, the BER performance is degraded because the Doppler spread expands further to compensate for the frequency of the direct component. This paper proposes a frequency offset compensation method that mitigates the effects of the frequency shift of the direct compoment. Proposed method compensates for the center frequency of the Doppler spread using the signal power of the frequency domain. Computer simulation shows that the BER performance of the proposed method is superior to that of the conventional method.
