| Abstract(in English) | In this paper, we aim to understand road images which are taken by a digital camera on the car, and we extract and interpret each objects in the road. Extracted objects are center lines, pedestrian crossings, traffic-control signs, traffic signals and traffic road signs painted on the road. We present the extraction algorithm using color information and the result of extraction. We measure object shape using compactness and specify the traffic-control sign. Next we investigate the extraction accuracy the traffic-control sign which are seen from the different distance. |
