Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) FM-CW(Frequency Modulation Continuous Wave)radar is being considered to be used for ITS at present. But, as FM-CW radar uses a single frequency bandwidth, when other vehicles are equipped the same radar, frequency interference occurs. The precision of the measurement is deteriorated by this interference, and that should decreases reliability as a system which should prevent traffic accidents. In this study, we proposed a Multi-Frequency FM-CW radar that reduces the frequency interference by using many frequency bandwidths. Computer simulation was done to evaluate the validity of this proposed system. It was confirmed that frequency interference could be decreased effectively from the results when a continuous carrier sense method was used as a frequency choice method again as much as to increase the number of frequency bandwidths.
