| 抄録(和) | 近年, インターネットの普及, モバイルコンピューティング環境の拡大によって圧縮画像の無線伝送の要求が高まってきている.しかし, 画像圧縮の標準方式のほとんどは可変長符号を利用しており, 伝送誤りによって同期はずれを生じる可能性がある.この問題を防ぐために, 可変長符号を固定長符号に置き換える方式が提案された.しかしこの方式はDCT係数の伝送個数が一定でなく, これにより同期はずれが起きる可能性が残っている.そこで本研究では, DCT係数の伝送個数を固定化することにより伝送誤りによって生じる情報の同期はずれを防ぎ, 雑音に強い画像圧縮方式を提案する.提案する圧縮方式は特に低SNR環境において特性を改善することを計算機シミュレーションにより示す. |
| 抄録(英) | Recently demands on transmitting compressed still images or video images over wireless channels have been increasing rapidly due to the popularity of the internet and the expansion of mobile computing environments. However, the most of image compression algorithms are not specilized to wireless channels. One of the problems is the use of variable length codes(VLCs). The decoder for the VLCs may lose synchronization of codewords and produce burst errors owing to an error in the recieved signal. It has been suggested that replacement of the VLC with a fixed length code may solve this problem. However, this technique does not fix the number of DCT coefficients to be transmitted. Thus there is a probability with which burst errors may occur. In this paper, fixation of the number of DCT coefficients is considered. It is shown that, especially under the low SNR condition, the proposed technique improves the quality of the reconstructed images. |
