Abstract(in English) | Supported with progresses in mobile computing technologies, mobile GIS is given more attentions than ever as information and positioning services. Moreover, it is researched and developed actively in many institutions. To provide high-accuracy position detection and utilization under indoor and the skyscrapers environment, we proposed and have developed the information and positioning system, which is composed of many small transmitters. In this report, first, we describe functions needed with a small transmitter and explain fundamental functions implemented to our prototype. Next, we evaluated operation performances of our prototype about its possibility of operation with self-contained power supply by solar cells, frame collision probability, and position detection accuracy by computer simulations and measurements. The obtained results are reported and discussed with respect to practical feasibility. |
