Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We demonstrate a simple method for realizing chaotic behavior using a semiconductor laser, photo detectors and so on. An electro-optical NDFS(Nonlinear Delayed Feedback System)has been composed. With this system, we have observed multi-stable oscillation and transition to chaos. In this scheme, we have applied an external light input to the NDFS and have tried to control oscillation modes transition. In addition, we have also analyzed such transition behaviors of the multi-stable oscillation modes by a numerical calcuation based on nonlinear delayed differential equations describing our NDFS.
