Abstract(in English) In this report, we investingate the performance of "waveguide birfringence control method" by amorphous silicon pressure applying film as a countermeasure for polarization induced noise in monolithically integrated resonator micro optic gyro on silica planar lightwave circuit. In resonator fiber optic gyro, "90°polarization axis rotating method" has been applied for the noise, however the performance of this scheme is drastically degraded by polarization dependent loss in the resonator. On the other hand, though our method may be degraded by temperature change, it is proved that the degradation is within 0.1° / s drift level in 50°C temperature range, as for the fabricated PLC resonator. Additionally, it is shown that the proposed method in R-MOG can minimize the effect of polarization depondent loss, compared with the 90°rotating method in R-FOG.
