Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a novel mine detection system, in which the unit of TNT-sensor is hanged down from a flying basement vehicle with optical cable. This style may be advantageous for preventing accidental explosion by miss contact to mine of underground, since the sensing head keeps a certain distance ensure from ground surface. In order to realize the system, a special type of optical cable is necessary to be lightweight and strong optical cable lifting the sensor unit and to transmit sensor signals to base vehicle. An optical cable is designed for this particular purpose and we evaluate that 1.25mm φ outer diameter with PBO tension member may be strong enough to hang the sensor unit of 50kg in weight
