Abstract(in English) We numerically evaluated the transmission quality using Q-factor in the 40 and 80 Gbit / s soliton transmission system, and we analyzed the effect of polarization mode dispersion on the transmission quality. It is difficult to transmit the optical soliton over long distance in the presence of large PMD. However in-line synchronous modulation technique can improve transmission quality in the presence of large PMD.
