Abstract(in English) | A new scheme is proposed for lensed fibers having high coupling efficiency between single-mode fibers and laser diodes operating at a wavelength of 980nm. The new lensed fiber utilizes a wedge-shaped GI fiber chip. It has been numerically verified that the lensed fiber has a long working distance and high coupling efficiency for laser diodes that have highly elliptical field profiles, for example, the aspect ratio of the field is more than 5. |
