Multiplexer/Demultiplexer Combined by AWG and FBG

Abstract(in English) 50 GHz channel spacing multiplexer / demultiplexer with broad flat passband and low crosstalk by combining two 100 GHz channel spacing AWG modules and the number of FBGs has been developed. This novel multiplexer / demultiplexer is suitable for high speed transmission systems. It is also suitable for upgradability from previous 16 channels multiplexer / demultiplexer with 100 GHz channel spacing to 32 channels multiplexer / demultiplexer with 50 GHz channel spacing by adding cascaded FBGs unit and one more AWG module. Furthermore, we also intend to develop the advanced multiplexer / demultiplexer with 64 or more channels with narrower channel spacing.
