Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | We propose a method for extracting a rotating limb region and estimating its parameters, which is based on the curl of optical flows. Regarding the optical flows as a vector field, the proposed method computes the curl of the flows to extract rotating regions. On the assumption that only one angular velocity varies in a short time period, the other angles and the center of rotation are estimated by EM algorithm. This method doesn't require that a background is simple, and translational movements in the background can be descriminated. Experimental results are shown with real image sequences, and demonstrate that this method can work well against noisy flows which are obtained from real images. |
