Issues on DV video communication over ATM networks

Abstract(in English) In the large-scale ATM network environment, there is a possibility that switches operate with the different network clocks at each end when the switches don't operate with the same network clock. Exploiting the Japan Gigabit Network, the nationwide ATM communication tested, we conducted experiments with using DV video real-time communication system operated with the network clock. As a result, we found out the technical issues caused by different network clocks, and analyze them. And we will propose a method to solve these issues and verify that the method can function effectively in the trial networks.
