Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this report, we study a remote control system which can control a haptic interface device with another remote haptic interface device. By using the system, an instructor can train a learner at a remote place how to draw pictures or figures, or operate equipment while conveying the sense of force through the Internet. We examine the effects of network delay, delay jitter and packet loss on the output quality of haptic media by subjective assessment for drawing three kinds of figures by way of example.
