Psychophysical Evaluation of a Haptic Display : Measurement of Stimulus Threshold of Delay Perception

Abstract(in English) Haptic displays are developed actively, and haptic media will be in widespread use. The haptic media is very sensitive to the network delay. In this report, we measured the stimulus threshold of feedback delay in perception of elasticity using psychophysical method. The results revealed that the stimulus threshold of feedback delay is less than 5ms.
