Video Quality Estimation Model based on Displaysize and Resolution for Audiovisual Communication Services

Abstract(in English) With the advances in broadband IP technology, audiovisual communication services have become popular as promising rich multimedia applications. Because quality is not generally guaranteed in an IP network, it is important to establish an overall quality estimation model considering audio quality, video quality and delay. For the VoIP services, the objective quality estimation model such as E-model that can estimate audio quality efficiently has been established, but the quality estimation model has not for the audiovisual communication services. In this paper, we propose a video quality estimation model for network quality planning and management. This model provides the relationship between video quality and video quality parameters such as coding bit rate, frame rate, packet loss rate, video displaysize and resolution. As a result, the estimation error of our model was almost equivalent to the statistical reliability of the subjective score.
