Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Leakage current on polymeric insulators is used to clarify life expectation of polymeric insulators. Leakage current is measured by current sensors. The sensors are attached to all of insulators. If there is a correlation between images of arc discharge and leakage current, a remote measurement for leakage current will be expected. So, we investigated relationship between are of luminance caused by arc discharge and leakage current of arc discharge. Our experiments, using three materials of polymeric insulators, indicated positive correlation between area of luminance and leakage current.
