| Abstract(in English) | With the development of broadband networks, audiovisual communication services are beginning to be provided. To establish quality design and management methods in multiparty communication services, it is indispensable to clarify the subjective quality taking into consideration the characteristics of quality factors for multiparty communications, which are the quality imbalance and conversation roles, and to establish a quality estimation method that can estimate subjective quality accurately. We previously examined the quality estimation model when all participants talked. In this paper, to establish a quality estimation model that is applicable to various conversations, we investigated the characteristics of subjective quality when there was a hearer among the communication partners and verified the estimation accuracy of the overall quality estimation model. The results show that the overall quality is influenced by the quality of the audiovisual signals from the hearer's site, even though the hearer did not speak or move, and that the overall quality can be estimated by the proposed method with sufficient accuracy for practical use. |
