Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report deals with an adaptive QoS control scheme for CG avatars which output voice and video streams in distributed virtual environments. The scheme carries out processing load control, traffic control and medeia synchronization control according to the processing load of terminal, network load and importance of avatars. For the adaptive QoS control, we propose texture mapping control in addition to dynamic resolution control of video and mdeia synchronization control. The texture mapping control dynamically determines whether texture mapping of CG avatars is carried out or not according to the processing load. Furthermore, we illustrate the effectiveness of the adaptive QoS control by experiment.
