| 抄録(和) | 極値理論とは,分析対象の最大値や,ある大きな閾値を上回る値の確率的挙動に関する理論である.これは水文学や気候学などを中心に発達し,昨今では金融・保険のリスク管理に応用されている.本稿では,極値理論のトラヒックデータ分析への適用可能性について議論する.特に,極値理論の手法を用い,MIB(Management Information Base)から計算された回線使用率に関するデータを分析し,分析結果の精度について議論する。 |
| 抄録(英) | Extreme Value Theory (EVT) is devoted to the statistical behavior of the maxima or the exceedances over a high threshold. The theory was originally developed in hydrology, and has recentry been applied to risk management in the field of finance and insurance. In this paper, we discuss the applicability of EVT to traffic-data analysis. Especially, using the method of EVT, we analyze a data for link-usage rate calculated from MIB (Management Information Base), and discuss the acuracy of the analyzed results. |
