Design of co-existing communication space generating participant's body shadow

Abstract(in English) Up to now, authors have discovered that remote communication partner's existence can be expressed by the body shadow through the construction of communication system (WSCS-I, II) that conveys participants' shadows between two remote rooms each other. In this research, the WSCS-III which has new shadow display method was developed aiming to be expressible various shadows-vanishing own shadow, converting scale of shadow, and changing shadow that according to varying optical environment. As a result, the prospect to which communications are diversified from the change in the body shadow was obtained.
