Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The purpose of this study is to find a structure of communication abilities on four situations (dyadic conversation, persuasion, presentation, and group activity) and to examine the effect of social skill on perception of skillful communicator's features. Using text mining techniques, cluster analysis and correspondence analysis of text data from 108 undergraduate students were conducted. The results showed that students who were high level group of social skill or of Perceptive Ability paid attention to many skillful behaviors like abilities of adjustment of interaction. On the other hand, high level group of Self-Restraint paid attention to only a few features of skillful communicator, and that features were related to ability of restraint of behavior. These findings suggested that the level of social skill had an influence on perception of skillful communicator's features.
