Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The method for creating a lightning pattern using an electric field in a thundercloud has been proposed. In this paper, we present a technique which automatically adds thunder to a generated lightning pattern. Thunder is the sound of a shockwave created by lightning rapidly heating the surrounding air. In our method, we first assign the sound source to lightning pattern. We then synthesize waveforms at an observer position and create approximated thunder. It is possible to generate the thunder of a different impression by the difference of the distance.
