The Shadow Edge Detection for Toon-Rendering

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we proposed a shadow edge detection for Toon-Rendering. Toon-Rendering is one of the rendering technique which generates an animation tone images, and takes notice of the audio-visual industry etc. Especially the technology of extracting edge which is the line of a model expressing feature occupies the important element in Toon-Rendering. In this research, we introduce the extraction technique of the edge by using the "polygon buffer" which can extract that edge that was difficult to detect by the conventional technique. Furthermore, we made the proposal about shadow edge detection method and got the satisfied result by improving the technique.
