Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Controlling of vibrato are important for synthesizing natural singing-voices. To control vibrato adequately, it is necessary to consider characteristics of the vibrato modulation frequency (rate) and amplitude (extent) respectively. Especially, it is required to clarify whether the temporal characteristic of the vibrato rate is constant or not in a vibrate cycle. This paper investigated the temporal characteristics of the vibrato rate by analyzing several singing-voice data. This paper, then, discussed how to control the vibrato rate in singing-voice synthesis by investigating a relationship between temporal characteristics of the vibrato rate and naturalness of singing-voice. Results showed that the vibrato rate tended to increase according to the end of vibrato cycle rather than constant, and to often decrease especially in Japanese traditional singing. Moreover, results showed that increasing of the vibrato rate strongly influenced the naturalness of singing-voice compared with the case of the other vibrato rate characteristics that were constant or decreasing.
