Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We investigated the wide spectral width and ultrashort optical pulse generation in 1.5 μm region for the measurement of ultra-fast phenomena in optical active devices. Supercontinuum optical pulses with a spectral width of 300 nm were generated by propagating pulses through a normal group-velocity dispersion fiber of 1 m. And their temporal width were compressed to 60 fs by a 1.3 μm zero-dispersion fiber of 45 cm. We analyzed the phenomena using the nonlinear Schodinger equation and the transfer function. The experiments and the simulations are in good agreement.
