An Implementation of Graph Web Service and Its Application on Mathematical Education

Abstract(in English) We have proposed Lupin, a framework to construct Problem Solving Environments, which can be implemented using Web services and their relevant technologies. In this paper, an implementation of a graph web service to plot elementary functions will be discussed. The ifplot algorithm on Risa/Asir computer algebra system and SVG enable us to manipulate graphs, such as view of several functions and zoom at any points, on the Web. We also discuss its application to provide interactive mathematical education pages.
