Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In digital communication systems, when synchronization errors such as insertion or deletion errors have occurred, it is essential to recover synchronizatin out of a received sequence. A class of prefix-synchronized codes, capable of resynchronizing but incapable of correcting errors, are known. Studies have been done on binary prefix-synchronized codes capable of correcting synchronization errors, but not on nonbinary prefix-synchronized codes capable of correcting such errors. In this paper, we show a construction method for a class of nonbinary prefix-synchronizatin codes capable of correcting single synchronization errors.
